Cricket’s history in Yallourn North is pretty much older than the town itself. It’s no surprise that every summer the pads and gloves go on, and the team gets on the pitch for a good innings. The Yallourn North Cricket Club makes Yallourn North Hall and Recreation Reserve our home, which is smack bang in the middle of town.
Forming part of the Central Gippsland Cricket League, we train from September on every Monday and Wednesday night, changing to Tuesday and Thursday when the footy finishes. We also hold regular meetings to discuss club issues and look for areas of improvement.
Our club is actively involved within the Yallourn North community as we endeavour to lift our profile. We recently undertook a massive clean up operation in town, and held our first Mower Lotto family fun day.
If you’d like to be involved in the club, we’d be more than willing to have you part of our team in any fashion you’re comfortable with. We offer a family friendly environment, so we encourage you to come and say hello. And of course we more than welcome you just being a spectator.
So come on down and cheer us on wherever we are playing!
