Yallourn North Historical Society

The Yallourn North Historical Society are an active bunch of historians who endeavour to ensure the history of the local region is preserved for future generations. We focus on our township of Yallourn North (formerly Brown Coal Mine) as well as the outer regions including Yallourn, and the former State Electricity Commission of Victoria (SECV). Every week we meet to delve deeper into our rich and intriguing history, and to ensure our Museum and artifacts are in tip top shape for your enjoyment and learning. With over 150 years of history in our repertoire it keeps us busy! Come in and say hello and check out the Musuem on the weekend, or say hello at our meetings which are held at 1pm on the third Monday of each month.
