Kernot Lake and Immigration Park

Just a short drive from Yallourn North, this central lake in Latrobe Valley has a number of attractions. It is home to Immigration Park, Kernot Hall, it is stocked with redfin for recreational fishing, and is also home to various bird and duck varieties.  The area has BBQ, shelter, playground, and picnic facilities, all nestled in parkland around Mid Valley.

Immigration Park and the Wall of Recognition are a tribute to those who contributed to the development and growth of the Latrobe Valley region. The area hosts annual immigration and multicultural events, and is a vital part in remembering and understanding the efforts other nationalities undertook as they settled in Latrobe Valley.

So jump in the car and check it out. The area makes a great afternoon out.
