Lake Narracan

On the meandering Latrobe river at the bottom of the surrounding hills you will find Lake Narracan, which is colloquially known as “The Dam”. This local water recreation destination is perfect for Swimming, Fishing, Waterskiing, Jet Skiing, Boating, Kayaking, as well as bush walking along the shoreline. It is a popular meeting spot in the hot weather, and is home to the Latrobe Valley Water Ski Club, Latrobe Valley Model Aero Club, Hovercraft Club of Victoria, and the Woorabinda School Camp. It also borders the Moe Golf course, Caravan Park, and the Moe-Yallourn Rail trail.

Its capacity is 8,600 Megalitres so it’s more than capable to handle your every outdoor need and watersport adventure. The shoreline offers several serene locations where you can stop in, have a picnic and swim, and just enjoy the day out. You will find it to the west of the township entering via Howlett road. Come down and have a look!
