This Bicentenary reserve founded by the former Yallourn North Lions Club, is now a central playground and BBQ facility. Picnic tables and all-abilities toilet facilities are also present. Being centrally located, it abuts the local shopping area, bowls club, and is opposite the local Hall and Recreation Reserve.
Australia Day Breakfast 2016
The park has recently celebrated its 30th birthday in November 2015, and continual work is underway to maintain and improve the area in honour of this milestone. The park is a central gathering area for many of the towns events such as the annual Australia Day Breakfast, as well as a meeting place or stopping point for car and bike clubs, as well as the annual Lions Ride for Sight events.
You will often find townsfolk and visitors basking in the sun and devouring some fish and chips from the local Polly’s Takeaway. So come have a look, maybe check out the Magdelene Centre, or have your hair cut at Sheek hair. And if you are feeling up to it, say hello to the local folk over at the Bowls Club.
