Latrobe Valley Model Aero Club

Beginning life in 1972, this premiere model aircraft club is a boon for Yallourn North and the Latrobe Valley region. Situated on South Shore Road at Lake Narracan, the club affords many sites with which to fly your aircraft. Members may be found flying at any of these Flying Sites, indoors or outdoors, at any time and in any weather. However the official monthly club flydays are at Lake Narracan on the Sunday after the 1st Wednesday.

The club boasts one of the largest age demographics of any sport. It currently has 60 members from ages 14 through 84, so you will definitely find someone who you can strike up a conversation with. The club’s instructors train new pilots, and have a ‘buddy box’ plane that can be utilised for those starting out. So come along to a fly day and say hello. If you have a craft, bring it along, and we can sign you up as a member!
